Random Walk on Wall Street. MathHappening: A Random Walk on Wall Streetis brought to us by the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath).
This event will bring together math-lovers from Lower Manhattan and around the city to make history by creating the largest-ever human normal curve. Coin flips, small steps, and a giant group march will result in a huge human histogram showing the famous “normal curve” of statistics.
Church Street School April Town Hall Meetings. Attend the upcoming Church Street School Town Hall meetings as they celebrate 25 years to help create a successful vision for the future.
Church Street School for Music and Art is an anchor for cultural arts and education in the Downtown community. Learn more about the state of the school and the upcoming challenges and participate by sharing your thoughts and ideas. If you are unable to attend the meeting this week there are two meeting dates later this month.
The meetings will be informal and is limited to adults. Refreshments will be served.
The Downtown Little School invites FiDi Families to our Spring Tour, Tuesday April 12th at 9:20am. Visit our classrooms, tour the school with an alumni parent, and join in a Q & A with Co-Directors Kate and Meredith.
Limited spots in some classrooms are available for the 2016/17 school year; please contact the school for more information. Downtown Little School has served children ages 2-5 and their families in the heart of FiDi since 1999.
Saturday Cultural Classes at the China Institute. Know China! Paint the poem, Dawn of Spring. This event is limited to 20 kids. Join and appreciate Chinese classical poem of Tang Dynasty in National Poetry Month. This event is open to kids of all Chinese language proficiency levels.
Keep in mind: the China Institute reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.
Trilingual Story Time. This NYPL event is perfect for a family with children of all ages. A librarian will share stories, songs, and rhymes in English, French, and Spanish! This is event free and for kids of all ages and language abilities.
