Super Storm Sandy closed down many well-known establishments throughout FiDi and Lower Manhattan. Unfortunately, that included a FiDi Families favorite; Harry’s Pizza Bar at 2 Gold Street. But, they prevailed and they re-opened in early Spring and the locals have embraced their return to the neighborhood.
Though pizza is their trademark item, they are also aware that kids have a tendency to gravitate towards chicken fingers. So, in a show of support of toddlers in the hood, they have been known to whip up a batch of chicken tenders on the fly. And, on a recent visit, our table was brought pizza dough for the kids to play with and it was a huge hit. They also have highchairs for the little one’s. The noise level is perfect for families and kids (hint: parents) and everyone is allowed to relax and have fun.
Harry’s has plenty of outdoor space so as Spring turns into Summer, get ready for some fun afternoon lunches and lazy evening dinners outside. Great for family brunch, too.
