They have begun offering workshops and programs to our FiDi Families throughout Lower Manhattan. We will also chat with the team behind Taste of the Seaport. Listeners can learn more about the participating restaurants, the schools benefitting the fundraiser and how to purchase tickets for their upcoming day of fun.
Mad Science is the world’s leading provider of fun kids science for ages 3-10. They are hosting shows in Lower Manhattan and will be performing at the upcoming Halloween Festival at the Seaport District. They offer a variety of interactive programs for school clubs, workshops, camps, shows and parties that blend education with entertainment, which allows children have a great time while they learn. All Mad Science programs are animated by highly-trained professional instructors equipped with awe-inspiring gear.
The annual Taste of the Seaport will take place on Saturday, October 15th and promises to be a great day of eating and playing at the historic Seaport District. Over 40 restaurants will be offering tastes of their best dishes, with all proceeds from the day benefitting two local public schools, Spruce Street and Peck Slip.

Celebrate Halloween with the kids at our annual daytime Halloween festival at the historic Seaport District. The event is hosted by FiDi Families and sponsored by the Howard Hughes Corporation and New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
We are excited to announce a special Mad Science show to kick off the event. Activities include kid-friendly concert with “Ramblin’ Dan & the Freewheelin’ Band as well as Play-Well Teknologies, which will offer free Lego brick building activities. NYC’s most unique kids class website Nory.co will be on hand, helping kids create traditional Korean masks, too.
There will also be fun, kid-friendly activities with our event partners and complimentary snacks from GoGo squeeZ, Honest Tea, Happy Family, JUST Water & Insomnia Cookies, as well as candy from Jubilee Marketplace.
A children’s pumpkin station will be available (while supplies last), to take home. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume and to spend the day at the historic Seaport District to dine and shop.

We are excited to announce our upcoming education event, with a spotlight on kids and families that are affected by food allergies. Join the No Nuts Moms Group of NYC and FiDi Families for an afternoon of family activities for a pre-Halloween mixer. All net proceeds from the event will be donated to FARE* (Food Allergy Research & Education).
Activities include a Halloween Spook-tacular show by Mad Science, interactive slime station, book signing with Stephanie Sorkin, author of “Nutley the Nut-Free Squirrel”, tattoo station, crafts, allergy-free snack stations and pumpkin decorating.
