Movie Nights at St. Paul's Chapel - Rocky

Whether you’re a sports fan or just enjoy a good movie, you’re invited to a special movie series. On select Fridays at St. Paul’s Chapel in Lower Manhattan they will be playing a sports movie for families to enjoy for free.  The series’ spring season features films rooted in real events with athletes who broke barriers, while fictional longshots who defied the odds highlight the fall selections. All films are rated PG and snacks are free!

Date: Friday, November 9th (Select Friday’s, watch for posts)

Time: Doors open at 6:30 PM.  Movies play at 7 PM – 9PM

Location: 209 Broadway – St. Pauls Chapel (Between Fulton Street and Vesey Street)

Age: All ages 

Fee: Free!

Poets House - An Evening of Sufi Poetry and Song

“Sufi Songs” offers an evening of Persian and Turkish classical music. Amir Vahab, called the “ambassador for a silenced music,” by the New York Times, is joined by his Ensemble for an evening of Sufi poetry and song. They will perform classical Persian and Ottoman pieces, including works by Rumi, Hafiz, Baba Taher, Yunus Emre, and more.

FiDi Families Insiders: There is no charge for this event.

CPF PuppetMobile To Perform "The Big Good Wolf" In Manhattan

 

City Parks Foundation Presents: “The Big Good Wolf” Puppet Mobile. The puppet mobile is making its way around Manhattan for performances of “The Big Good Wolf” for FREE! There are a couple opportunities to catch the show that require leaving the hood, but it is worth it!

The modern-day fairy tale stars characters from the classic story, “Goldilocks and The Three Bears”. The Big Good Wolf takes audiences on a journey into the enchanted forest where the wolf seeks the help of his fairy Godmice to change from bad to good. In order to change, the Fairy Godmice send the wolf on an adventure to help Baby Bear and her friend Goldilocks. Can the wolf complete his mission and change in time to become The Big Good Wolf?

NYC city kids...(scratch that) NYC tweens have tak NYC city kids...(scratch that) NYC tweens have taken over Florida and we couldn’t be happier. Now I understand why they call Miami/FL “NY South”. We have been lucky to catch up with sooo many of our school families and friends. 

Grateful that our kids (and parents) get this socialization after a year of remote learning. 

Friends are the best gift ever. Memories of a lifetime. Grateful that we had the best weather, so many outdoor activities and expert mask-wearers.
