Route 66 Smokehouse

Heated covid friendly bubble tents. Birthday Party premium packages available to add to your tent with either a karaoke machine or personal TV and video games. 

Where: 79 Pearl Street (outdoor heated bubble tents are on Stone Street) 

Know Before You Go: They have a second floor game room that is a kid’s dream come true  with FREE ping pong & shuffleboard, life-size jenga and more!  Pay as you go games like basketball, skee-ball and pac-man are also available

Bonus- tents are seasonally decorated! Different sized tents can accommodate up to 10 people. Book here.

Pier 17 (The Greens)

They are back! Secure your cozy cabin on the roof of the South Street Seaport’s Pier 17. Unparalleled views of the skyline and East River await you and your family. Escape from the cold in your own private retreat. Perfect for social distancing this winter! 

Where: Rooftop of 89 South Street (Pier 17) 

Know Before You Go: Reservations can be hard to come by. Be sure to secure one here. Menu features comfort food and food classics. Open M-F 12 pm until 9 pm; Thurs-Sat 11:00 am to 10:30 pm and Sundays 11 am to 9 pm.

Watermark Winter Wonderland 

Where: 78 South Street, Pier 15 

Pier 15 has one of the best unobstructed views of the Brooklyn Skyline. With festive lighting and cozy glasshouses this spot is not to be missed. Elevated and tasty food completes the experience. 

Know Before You Go: Secure your reservation here. Open Mon-Wed 4 pm-11 pm; Thurs 2 pm to 12 am; Saturday 12 pm-12 am; and Sunday 12 pm to 11 pm.

Industry Kitchen

Dine outside in your own glass house steps from the East River. Watch the ferries go by and enjoy the unobstructed views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Skyline as you dine on pizza and other expertly prepared dishes. 

Where: 70 South Street at Maiden Lane 

Know Before You Go: All reservations are for 1 ½ hours. Click here to reserve your glass house. Bonus–they have wonderful make your own smores! Open Mon-Thurs 12 pm to 10 pm; Fari-Sat 12pm to 10 pm ; and Sunday from 12pm-10 pm.

Ampia Rooftop

Enjoy scrumptious Italian fare in a private glass house on a rooftop nestled in the heart of FiDi. 

Where: 100 Broad Street (3rd Floor Rooftop); Entrance on Bridge Street 

Know Before You Go: This is a hidden gem that is usually not too crazy. Perfect for a pasta night with the family. Open M-Th 4 pm to 11 pm; Fri 4 pm to 12 am; and Sat & Sun 12 pm to 12 am 

 

Crown Shy 

While not entirely kid friendly, this high end, polished, and carefully designed restaurant has created the perfect winter retreat: Shy Village. Dine amongst the skyscrapers in your own heated yurt. This is a perfect spot for date night. 

Where: 70 Pine Street 

Know Before You Go: Open Monday-Sunday 5:30 pm to 12 am 

 

Tribeca 

City Vineyard Domes

Sip on award winning locally made wine (yay adults!), enjoy delicious food, and take in the incredible panoramic skyline views from the comfort of your own personal heated dome.

Where: 233 West Street (Pier 26) 

Know Before You Go: Closed on Mondays and domes can be hard to come by, so be sure to make a reservation a few days in advance. Open T-F from 3 to 10 pm and Sat-Sunday 12-10 pm.

Serafina

Perfect pizza and pasta sure to please the whole family. Ample outside space with heaters that actually produce a lot of heat! 

Where: 95 West Broadway 

Know Before You Go: Be sure to grab a reservation before you go. Open Sunday through Thursday 12-10 pm and Friday/Saturday 12-11 pm. 

 

The Odeon

French style bistro food that has both adult and kid offerings. This restaurant is a mainstay in Tribeca. You never know who you will see when dining here! The fries are a must as is the grilled cheese. Dine outdoors under the iconic neon sign. Bonus tables are protected from the wind and there are plenty of heaters. 

Where: 145 West Broadway 

Know Before You Go: Open daily for lunch and dinner. Offers a wonderful brunch on weekends.

Liberty Bistro at Le District

Where: 225 Liberty Street 

Know Before You Go: Amazing outdoor set up with industrial strength heaters and cozy seating. Bonus–book a table at dusk to watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Hudson.

🥂 @watermarkny has created a winter wonderland and families can take part in the Santa Clause Experience which is being offered on New Year’s Eve. Tickets include hot cocoa, a visit with the man himself, hand warmers, and a souvenir Santa hat. Tickets start at $30. Or you could book your own igloo if going with a group or tack on brunch which is also being offered 🥂 @tribecagrill is hosting a NYE party in their iconic space. Great music and dining will be found here. Dine and dance the night away. Reservations after 9 pm grants a table for the whole evening. If you like you can bring the kids (under 12 is ½ price). $175 per guest for what sounds like a fun evening.
🥂 @ledistrict is hosting a party! You can book open bar tickets here. Tickets for open bar only at $105 and dinner plus open bar is $195. 

And if you have night owls and are up at midnight why not head to Battery Park esplanade to watch the fireworks over the Statue of Liberty. Truly a bucket list activity for sure! 💥
