10:00am — 5:00pm Governor’s Island — Pumpkin Point
Returning for its second year, this time in historic Nolan Park, Pumpkin Point will bring thousands of ripe fall pumpkins to Governors Island. The patch is free to visit, and small and medium-sized pumpkins can be handpicked and purchased for a small donation that benefits the Friends of Governors Island. Surrounded by beautiful fall foliage and the village-like atmosphere of former officer’s homes, this free fall spectacular will include free live music, and pumpkin painting with the Children’s Museum of the Arts. Visitors can enjoy a fall beer garden and tasty treats including warm cider, mini pumpkin pies, “ghoulash” by Island vendor Little Eva’s, Blue Marble ice cream and more.
Sunday, October 21st
11:00am — 4:00pm Hudson River Park Pier 25 — Fall Fest
Bring your family to a full day of Fall fun in your west side backyard. Test out your Halloween costume, paint a pumpkin, go fishing, grab some cotton candy while you watch a magic show and get transported away to a world of imagination. Get ready for a spooktacular event. Activities begin at 11am and run through the day – follow the scarecrows down the Pier to find all of the fun!

12:00 Sarabeth Tribeca — Mommybites
Celebrate Halloween with your baby or toddler while meeting other moms at a “Healthy Halloween” Party presented by Mommybites. Take a break from the traditional Halloween goodies and enjoy a delicious, healthy lunch at Sarabeth’s Tribeca. We’ll also provide some healthy toddler snacks for your little one. Kids and adults, bring your CARVED pumpkins to the park to be judged in one of five categories: cutest, scariest, funniest, most creative and most realistic. Judging begins at 5:30; winners announced at 6. Battery-operated candles will be provided. Hope to see you and your jack-o-lanterns there!

Halloween Party and Costume Parade is the park’s longest running event, and it is one of the highlights of our year and for children in the neighborhood! Inside the park, Friends volunteers run a dozen free events, from penny-in-a-haystack to a bone dig in the sandbox, and a hay circle on the lawn.
Tuesday, October 30th
4:00pm Battery Park City Library — Mini Trick or Treat Night
Find treats on a library scavenger hunt, but watch out for tricks! Wear your costume to the library! Drop in anytime from 4pm to 5pm to pick up your scavenger hunt and earn treats. For children of all ages.
