FiDi Families was lucky enough to be invited to review The Downtown Experience Tour by The Ride! It truly was a great experience being able to see a tour that focuses just on our neighborhood. We always see those awesome stadium seating busses in Times Square but never downtown, until now!
The tour is a mix of virtual reality clips using Samsung virtual reality glasses, live music and fun facts about different parts of downtown Manhattan.
There are about five virtual reality segments in the tour under 3 minutes each. It allows full 360 degree virtual reality and feels like you are actually there!
Not only does the door have that fun add-on but also there is a singer and guitarist on board who sings a song for the audience.
There is a few more surprises but I don’t want to spoil it!
I learned a lot of fun facts from our super fun tour guide on board. We focus a lot on George Washington and his big impact on downtown Manhattan and the beginning of New York City in general.
Overall, it was a great learning experience that was fun and different! I would recommend this tour to tourists and to those of you the community, it’s worth it!
