Reindeer Roundup at Brookfield Place NY

December 18, 2020 by Denise Courter

Reindeer Roundup at Brookfield Place NY

Stop by Brookfield Place from 12/19 – 12/24 for an interactive family-friendly experience that encourages visitors to explore Brookfield Place and hunt for Santa’s lost reindeers. Participants can walk around through this shopping destination, in search of virtual “magic snowflakes” that will help identify where the AR reindeers are located. Once you have found all of the reindeers, you can stop by the concierge booth to pick up a special prize. Don’t forget to admire the luminaries and stop by the ice rink for a full day of fun.

Step-by-step Instructions

  • Visit Brookfield Place and search for snowflakes that are posted throughout the complex.
  • Found one? Scan the QR code located on the center of the sign to launch bfplroundup.com
  • Once the experience is launched, scan the snowflake on the bottom of the poster using your phone and a reindeer will appear!
  • Collect all the reindeer and pick up a special present at the concierge.
  • Prizes are also awarded to participants who post a photo of the experience on social media, and tag @bfplny!

Intelligentsia Tutoring Co. Offers High School and College Test Prep

Feelings of academic uncertainty are at an all-time high this year with school closures, remote learning, and testing delays. When will things return to normal? When will schedules get back on track? Will my child be able to take the next step academically?

Intelligentsia Tutoring Co. knows that the best way to ease anxiety over uncertainty is to set a plan and create a sense of control. Every year, this is the time when test prep for the spring really begins and, in 2020, it’s even more vital to lay out a path for success. Yes, test dates may change and locations may not be fixed, but mastery of the tests and material are within your control.

Intelligentsia offers test prep for scholastic and collegiate entrance exams, including the ACT, SAT I & IIs, AP and Regents Exams, as well as the ISEE, SHSAT, and SSAT. Their tutors are skilled in elevating the performance of underachievers, and in raising the bar for students that are already performing above their peers.

Plus, they’ve launched small-group test prep courses. Whether you join a class or bring your own pod, their small-group test prep courses consist of only 5-8 students to allow for focused group study and individual instructor attention. Held remotely or in-person, their courses are geared towards beginners looking to take their tests in the spring or summer of 2021. Classes meet for 90 minutes, twice a week, for 24 weeks.

Life is funny. A year ago I was celebrating 20 yea Life is funny. A year ago I was celebrating 20 years of calling NYC home. A year later, our family is on a crazy career adventure in Miami, with a lot of unknowns.

But, we do know that we only get one life to live and jumping in feet first is the only way to live life to the fullest, at least in our minds 😂.

We are already in love with the Miami weather, the happy people, the gorgeous beaches 🏝 and the day tripping way of life. We arrived in FL w a suitcase each and a mask 😷. Happy that we are surrounded by mask-wearers. Wasn’t sure what to expect. But, we will be back in NYC this summer. Lots of decisions to make between now and then. But also lots of fun and exploring over the next few months.

The silver lining of the Covid world we live in is remote learning allows us to travel and say yes to new beginnings. Stay tuned for updates on the next chapter for our website, too.
