President’s Week Activities

Whether you are staying in town or need some relief for a few days we have you covered! See below for a listing of the best camps and local activities for President’s Week break. 

Camps for the littles:

FiDi:

Nory

Downtown’s beloved STEM based camp is offering a special camp during President’s Week for those interested in robotics. Kids use problem-solving and curiosity which empower them to take risks and use technology in exciting ways. 

When: February 20-24

Where: Pine Street School (25 Pine Street) 

Ages 3-10; Register here for the camp.

Know Before You Go: must provide a nut free snack and lunch.

Battery Park City:

Asphalt Green

Where: 37 John Street 

Modeled after their popular Summer Day Camp curriculum these mini-camps incorporate swim, sports, fitness, and recreational activities sure to keep your kids engaged and active. 

Where: 212 North End Avenue

Know Before You Go: Available 2/20-2/24. Kids ages 4-12. Camp takes place from 8:45 am until 3:15 pm. Register here. Limited space available.

Tribeca:

Church Street School of Music

Create and take an adventure with a host of specialized programming this week. 

Where: 41 White Street 

Know Before You Go: Classes run 2/18-2/24. Various age groups.

Spotlight Kids

Embrace your inner performer and channel Broadway at this studio which offers creativity, singing, dancing, and theatrical games. 

This week-long camp will enable kids to learn set design and skit based singing and dancing. 

Where:  104 Reade Street 

All ages welcome. Dates are 2/20-2/24. Camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Hurry, spaces are filling up! Book here.

Fashion Squad

Unleash your creative genius @thefashionsquadschool full or half day camp. Put your sewing skills to the test and design your own clothing in this fun highly sought after camp. Book here. 

Where: 55 Warren Street 

Loads of flexible options–they offer one day camps as well as the full week.

Craft Studio

Get crafty at Tribeca’s favorite after school hangout. They offer drop in sessions (1 hour) as well as a mini camp from 9 am to 1 pm (for ages 4-8). Crafting options include clay play, fabric, wood, watercolor, and much much more.

Activities for the whole family:

Fraunces Tavern

The beloved FiDi landmark, was here during the Revolutionary War and is where George Washington gave his Farewell Address to his men following the end of the war. What better place to celebrate the meaning of this holiday week?! 

Where: 54 Pearl Street 

Know Before You Go: The museum is the place to learn more about why we celebrate this holiday. Book a table at the restaurant and make it a festive day.

Governor’s Island Winter Ice Sculpture Show

This exciting one day event will allow families to experience live ice carving while enjoying music and warm drinks. 

Where: Governor’s Island 

Know Before You Go: Running on 2/18 from 12-4 pm. A live DJ will be present as will food from Little Eva’s, Ms. Spudz, and GG’s Fish & Chips.

It is time to ring in the New Year and welcome 202 It is time to ring in the New Year and welcome 2023! Read on for some activities in the neighborhood. Some are family friendly and some are adults only! We have you covered for whatever type of celebration you plan.

🥂 @watermarkny has created a winter wonderland and families can take part in the Santa Clause Experience which is being offered on New Year’s Eve. Tickets include hot cocoa, a visit with the man himself, hand warmers, and a souvenir Santa hat. Tickets start at $30. Or you could book your own igloo if going with a group or tack on brunch which is also being offered 🥂 @tribecagrill is hosting a NYE party in their iconic space. Great music and dining will be found here. Dine and dance the night away. Reservations after 9 pm grants a table for the whole evening. If you like you can bring the kids (under 12 is ½ price). $175 per guest for what sounds like a fun evening.
🥂 @ledistrict is hosting a party! You can book open bar tickets here. Tickets for open bar only at $105 and dinner plus open bar is $195. 

And if you have night owls and are up at midnight why not head to Battery Park esplanade to watch the fireworks over the Statue of Liberty. Truly a bucket list activity for sure! 💥
