We did a thing. We packed a suitcase 🧳 each, flew to the Sunshine ☀️ State and experienced beach living, while my husband worked his tail off. It was full of ups and downs and leaving with the uncertainty of our future, our inability to say goodbye in the middle of a pandemic and navigating remote learning and in person, all the while staying sane as a family...was A LOT.

But we did it. We figured it out. We had fun. We had tears. But we have family and friends that we haven’t seen in 15 months. Our number one priority has always been to get back to see the kids Great-Grandma Helen. She just turned 96 and we were able to spend the day with her and give her so many hugs. My kids adore her and just smiled and laughed and were so happy to just sit with her. If Covid has taught us anything, it is to appreciate family and friendships. So grateful that my kids got to see her and felt her love in person. If you have the chance to give hugs in person, make it happen if you can.

Schlepping 2 kids through the Miami airport with 4 suitcases, an X Box, laptops, LOL’s and fidgets...worth it. We might be the worst packers on the planet, but we made it home to NYC and ready for a summer of new adventures in the Big Apple! So excited to see our friends in real life and hug every single person we see!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday 🎉 to the best sidekick in the world. This sweet, kind-hearted soul turns 11 years old today and she couldn’t be happier to be another year closer to becoming a teenager. I, on the other hand, am a blubbering 😭 mess.

So proud of this girl though. She is a determined student, making up projects for herself, an incredible helper and thoughtful human. She is full of sass, has endless questions about the world and can hold her own with the grownups. First one in, last one out of the water. And always a “yes” when it comes to adventures.
