Parents get ready! DOWNTOWN Magazine is having a kids’ photo contest for your little one to be featured in its LITTLE APPLE section!
Children must live in Lower Manhattan (below 28th Street) in order to be eligible. The magazine is looking for outgoing, fearless toddlers who call downtown home!
The finalists will model top children’s brands in the Little Apple section of the upcoming Fall 2014 issue, for the magazine’s “Back to School” campaign. The photo contest will be launched on Facebook with reminders on Instagram and Twitter. You can follow the contest by using #CastMeDOWNTOWN. All eligible entries should be submitted to littleapple@dtnycmag.com.
How to participate:
DOWNTOWN will hold a preliminary selection among the email entries. Selected candidates will be uploaded to DOWNTOWN’s Facebook Fan Page in the “#CastMeDOWNTOWN” Facebook album. The public will be able to vote and share their favorite images until July 17th at 5pm (EST). The five children with the most “likes” will be the finalists, among which, three winners will be chosen. The winners will be announced on July 18th on DOWNTOWN’s website.
Rules and Regulations:
Candidates must be between 5 and 7 years, and live in Lower Manhattan (below 28thStreet). Entrees must be available during the last two weeks of July for the photo shoot. All pictures must be sent to littleapple@dtnycmag.com before July 17th 12pm in JPEG or PNG format only.

The South Street Seaport is teaming up with FiDi Families to bring Fridays with FiDi Families. As part of the South Street Seaport’s SEE/CHANGE 2014 summer programming, Fridays with FiDi Families invites children of all ages to join musicians, teachers, storytellers and more for a free series of Friday fun.Throughout this Friday event series, children and parents will also be treated to a complimentary GoGo SqueeZ a delicious all-natural 100% fruit squeezable applesauce.
