Winter Solstice 2020: 1st Annual Lantern Festival + Labyrinth of Light

December 16, 2020 by Denise Courter

Winter Solstice 2020: 1st Annual Lantern Festival + Labyrinth of Light

Save the date for an inspiring community event, presented by the Secret Lantern Society NYC – they are bringing the NYC community together to collectively celebrate the amount of light we have available to us, with its first annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival and Labyrinth of Light, at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lanterns to the festival to lighten up the night. The Labyrinth, an ancient concept used for meditation and ritual across the world, will be lined with candles in the center of Domino Park and can accommodate 10-20 groups at a time. Timed tickets will also ensure safe social distancing is in place.

The Winter Solstice Lantern Festival will begin at sundown or approximately 5:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. It will feature musical accompaniment by Jarrod from @brooklyn_healing_arts and hot chocolate and cider provided by Tacocina. The festival will bring the NYC community much-needed light and celebrate its return, sooner than later.

Date: Monday, December 21st

Time: 5 pm – 8 pm (approximate time)

Location: Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Cost: Free

Age(s): All ages welcome

11 Hoyt Luxury Condominiums I Global Design, Rooted in Brooklyn

September 20, 2020 by Denise Courter

11 Hoyt Luxury Condominiums I Global Design, Rooted in Brooklyn

11 Hoyt sets Brooklyn’s new standard for architecture and design. Located at the crossroads of Downtown Brooklyn and brownstone Brooklyn, 11 Hoyt is a collection of studio to four-bedroom luxury condominium residences priced from $715,000 to over $3,400,000.

The graceful 57-story tower is an extraordinary work of architecture and design. A true collaboration among three celebrated world-class firms — architecture by Studio Gang, interiors by Michaelis Boyd Associates, and landscape architecture by Hollander Design — 11 Hoyt is a visionary building that looks to the future while drawing inspiration from Brooklyn’s rich architectural history and creative spirit. Studio Gang found inspiration in the classic bay windows of traditional Brooklyn brownstones, reinterpreting them as projecting bays sweeping diagonally up and down the tower’s facade like gently cresting waves. The building’s unique scalloped façade and oversized windows provide spectacular views of Downtown Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. 11 Hoyt is comprised of 190 unique floor plans to suit every lifestyle. Each residence is offered in two distinct interior finish palettes — Heritage and Classic.

11 Hoyt features more than 55,000 square feet of unrivaled indoor and outdoor amenities. The 32nd floor Sky Club features private dining and entertainment spaces with breathtaking panoramic views. The third floor Park Club includes a fitness center, pool, spa, a co-working tech lounge, salon lounge, playroom, and more, all seamlessly connected to the private outdoor park. 11 Hoyt’s private park spans almost 27,000 square feet – almost a full city block. Included within the park are a fitness deck, active lawn, hot tub, sundeck, wooded forest walk, outdoor lounge with private dining areas and barbecues, and a butterfly-themed playground inspired by the migrating monarchs drawn to 11 Hoyt’s flower gardens.

11 Hoyt is now offering virtual appointments. Please contact the sales team for more information:

One of our favorite traditions is displaying our h One of our favorite traditions is displaying our holiday cards on our wall. It’s been so fun to see pictures of our friends with their kids, their 4-legged pets or a beautiful card with no pictures and a note. The hard part is deciding when to take them down. In an effort to stay connected and to keep the conversation going with the kids, I think this year we will keep them up for a while longer. Connectivity is our theme for 2021 and grateful to see friends and family on our holiday wall this year. Any traditions we should know about for the new year? Please share!
