Memorial Day Weekend At North Cove Marina! Offshore Sailing School hosts its grand opening this weekend! Summer KidsSail youth program registration is now open to all interested sailors. Doris Colgate, President and CEO of Offshore Sailing School, announced that the company’s North Cove Sailing School will host “Sail-Abration” at North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place over Memorial Day weekend.
The school will offer one hour sailboat rides on a space-available basis (minimum age 7 and minimum 50 lb weight, accompanied by an adult over the age of 21).
An Offshore Sailing School instructor will be aboard each ailboat with up to five participants and each participant must sign a waiver before boarding the boats. Participants should check-in at Offshore Sailing School fleet on the south end of the North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place. There will be two daily prize drawings for chances to win free sailing lessons, KidsSail sessions, and Learn to Sail certification courses.
Parents are also encouraged to sign their children up for the weekly KidsSail summer program at North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place beginning June 22nd – August 14th.
KidsSail is a three-hour learning session for five consecutive days on the Hudson River on Offshore Sailing School’s sailboats, with a professional instructor aboard each boat.
