Good night gorgeous NYC. We took full advantage of the Summer Solstice and the official start of summer, marking the longest day of the year — which also happens to coincide with Father's Day.

NYC never lacks in things to do and the sunshine, friends, baseball and Father’s Day lunch at Malibu Farm makes me so grateful for the downtown NYC community. We feel the NY energy and it can’t be stopped.

Breakfast of champions...courtesy of Le District. Downtown strolls have never tasted better. Lower Manhattan is definitely quiet but still beautiful and welcoming. Battery Park, Brookfield Place and the Hudson River Esplanade are great downtown destinations and Lower Manhattan gems.

A staple of BPCA’s summer programming and the newest Federal holiday, Juneteenth, or Emancipation Day, commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States.

Join us at 2PM today in Belvedere Plaza to learn more about Juneteenth, meet the Federation of Black Cowboys, ride a horse, and make art inspired by Mildred Howard’s “The House That Will Not Pass For Any Color Than Its Own.”

Also featuring music and stories by Allan Harris & Cross That River Band.

All activities are free!

Location: Belvedere Plaza is located on the elevated northwest corner above North Cove Marina, above the Battery Park City Esplanade.

Save the Date (June 21): As part of the annual Make Music Day held throughout the five boroughs of NYC, the Seaport will be activating three stages for performances free and open to the public.

The Cobblestones Stage will feature 7 bands on the hour starting at 1pm. The Heineken Riverdeck will host three performers from 1pm - 4pm. The Upper Square kicks off at 12pm with a very special gong performance and hosts three others until 8pm.
