January is the kick off to resolutions, fitness programs, healthy eating and a ton of other resolutions that our team has made for 2017. So, we were excited to be invited to participate in a food program that was new to us and seemed like a great way to try to stick to our fitness and health goals.
We received a gigantic box of pre-packed, flash frozen food, which included an array of foods, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dessert was included as well, which was an unexpected surprise. The brand is known as Personal Trainer Food, which provides a 28 day supply of foods that are high in protein and good for you, while making sure that the carbs that are included are “good for you”. They also make sure that they do not ship heavily processed food products, which is certainly a challenge.
I have tried pre-packaged food programs before. And, I have not been impressed. So, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Personal Trainer Food program. But, I have absolutely loved cooking the items that have been provided. The breakfast omelets have been super easy to prepare (in the microwave for 2 minutes) and make getting ready in the morning and ensuring that I’m starting the day off right, with a healthy breakfast, has been great. One of the ways that the program has been able to differentiate itself is because of the food preparation. The food is cooked and flash frozen to preserve freshness and flavor. And, its been evident, as I have been cooking a variety of foods, such as grilled chicken, burgers, eggs and more. And, every meal has been easy and really good. Our kids have even tried out several of the entree items and have loved the taste. I love the ease of food preparation.
