Did you know that Battery Park City Parks hosts a Friday Teen Night? Local teens are invited to hang out at 6 River Terrace, the beautiful event space overlooking the Hudson River at Battery Park. Teens are invited to meet up with friends, play table tennis, foosball, chess and take advantage of having their own space to hang out with other kids from the area.

Wednesday’s in Teardrop Park. School-age children are invited to join in creative art activities and spirited games in magical Teardrop Park. The park is a wonderful inspiration for artists of all ages. Projects include painting, collage, sculpture, nature-based art projects, and more. The art portion takes place for the entire two-hour program. Starting at 4:30 the energetic lawn games begin. Taking advantage of the Teardrop Park landscape these group games can include dramatic play, tag, capture the flag, and running games of all sorts. Children are invited to suggest their own ideas as well.

Floating Valentine’s: The Red Balloon. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Poets House presents Albert Lamorisse’s timeless children’s film classic The Red Balloon. Afterward, children will make their own floating valentines in the form of hot-air balloon mobiles.
